Gaspar Café

Since the cafe opened its doors in 2019, the focus has been on providing customers with fresh, home made, fine food. We serve imported coffee, roasted in Italy, made with total care and expertise. We take pride in the quality of our freshly-prepared food and the warm, friendly environment we have created, and our efforts have been rewarded with loyal customers.

In addition to our popular breakfast and lunch menu, we have several different specials to offer a variety of seasonal dishes, healthy options including a selection of vegan, vegetarian & gluten free.

Who is behind​ Gaspar Café

Amin Dhanani

Amin Dhanani, and his passion for cooking and hospitality has a long history. He qualified as a chef back in the 80’s and completed a hotel management degree. After completing his education, he went on to work in French and Italian restaurants – however, he knew he had a deeper passion for Iberian cuisine. So after traveling all over Spain and Portugal, he opened his first Tapas restaurant in London, England. Within its first year, his team and he won the Best Iberian Restaurant award, and they went on to open another 3 locations. In 2006, after moving to Canada with his family, he moved on to the 360 revolving restaurant at the CN Tower – where he stayed as restaurant manager for 16 years. Despite enjoying his time at the 360 restaurant, it was time for a change – and he decided to get his own place. Gaspar Café opened just before the pandemic, and with the support of their incredible patrons, they managed to get through it all. Here at Gaspar, they have freshly made sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and homemade ready-frozen meals that accommodate most palates. They have a passionate team that prides itself on great food and friendly service.
